There are a variety of devices and methods for providing a suitable backup during a rescue operation. One method is to use a basal anchored ASAP. In the photo below (from the previous post) we were instructing a Public Safety department in the use of skate block rescue systems.

Do the backup systems that your teams currently employ answer the following:

1. The system has a mechanism to reduce impact forces on all parts of the systems.

2. The system can maintain the load within the same physical space as the mainline if the mainline fails.

3. The system allows for the continued movement of the load along the predetermined path even in the event of a mainline failure.
